Walking past the Dongdaemun Design Plaza with my husband is always such a pleasure. You see, it's a building that's impossible to ignore, and its hideousness must be remarked upon each and every time. While I agree it's not my favourite building, there are certain sections of it that feed into my geometry fetish. This particular day was unusual for Seoul since the sky was an uncharacteristically vivid blue. The sunlight reflecting off the panels really brought this building to life. I wonder if that was the architect's original intention, not knowing that the sun rarely penetrates the smog in central Seoul.
