We had been killing a bit of time at the beautiful old post office in Ho Chi Min City. I forget why, but we found ourselves in an alleyway around the back. I'm sure it wasn't as dodgy as it sounds. The biggest rat I had ever seen was wandering around like it owned the place. (It most likely did; it was big enough to own property.) It was the size of a cat, and part of me wanted to pick it up and pat it. The sensible part of me decided to refrain and step back out to the sidewalk where there were witnesses, in case Mr Rat decided to devour us whole. While I was there waiting for Dave, I got this shot of the fabulous doors of the Saigon Notre Dame Basilica.
